The aim is for students to develop and strengthen the English language skills acquired in previous studies (high school or vocational level) in order to cope with the professional English studies at the university of applied sciences. The student is encouraged and motivated to use English. The student is able to effectively utilize dictionaries and grammars as well as other sources for independent language development. The aim is for the student to achieve at least a B1 level on a 6-point scale of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
